Hello, I'm Nichole My work focuses on visual storytelling, and includes a mix of photography, video, visual art, and writing​

Visual storytelling

I recently published a series of interactive books investigating the physics of emotion, illustrating how our material world is shaped by our sensations and emotions.

Visual art

My painting explores the interplay between physical and emotional interactions, and includes six series of fluid acrylics, each inspired by a distinct form of expression.

How I got started

My journey into storytelling began when my grandmother expressed interest in sharing her life story.

 

She was an avid photographer, who developed her film in a shed behind the family homestead.

Media projects

Over the past decade, I have worked on an array of media projects, from editorial photography to documentary films, and my background includes urban studies, architecture, and teaching.
